Atlantic Sun Conference Partners with Collegiate Sports Management Group for Media Rights Strategy

The Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) announces that Collegiate Sports Management Group (CSMG) will represent the league’s media rights strategy, working exclusively with Commissioner Jeff Bacon, as the conference plans its future in the ever-changing media landscape.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, the ASUN features 12 league members, including Austin Peay (Clarksville, Tenn.), Bellarmine (Louisville, Ky.), Central Arkansas (Conway, Ark.), EKU (Richmond, Ky.), FGCU (Fort Myers, Fla.), Jacksonville (Fla.), Lipscomb (Nashville, Tenn.), North Alabama (Florence, Ala.), North Florida (Jacksonville, Fla.), Queens (Charlotte, N.C.), Stetson (DeLand, Fla.) and its newest member West Georgia (Carrollton, Ga.) which officially joins on July 1, 2024.

“After a thorough search, I am excited to partner with the tremendous leadership at CSMG to lead the development of our future media rights strategy,” Bacon says. “Our Conference is uniquely situated, with 12 members located in some of the largest media markets in the fastest growing region of the United States, and I look forward to CSMG joining us for the next chapter of ASUN storytelling.”

CSMG continues its growth at the Division I level, leveraging its contacts and relationships to become one of the NCAA’s media rights strategy leaders. The agreement with the ASUN is the tenth Division I Conference to partner with CSMG, rooted in intellectual property rights management, acquisition, and development through media rights, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), valuation services, licensing, and sponsorship sales. CSMG also manages ESPORTSU, which focuses on uniting the collegiate esports community through original content and events, including the Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC). CSMG works with over 1,000 colleges and universities and has executed hundreds of partnership and media rights deals.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the ASUN as the conference has been on the rise in recent years and is in a great position for the future,” says Michael Schreck, Chief Executive Officer for CSMG. “Media rights has been one of the hottest topics in sports locally, regionally, and nationally. CSMG is excited to assist the ASUN as they continue to tell their growth story and maximize their media exposure.”
