MSG Networks Celebrates Women’s Empowerment Month with Special Programming Throughout March

MSG Networks announces a month-long lineup of special programming in March to celebrate Women’s Empowerment Month and will highlight the incredible contributions of women in sports, entertainment, and business.

MSG Networks will premiere “Women of the W,” an insightful dialogue with leading athletes and sports industry leaders who share their experiences in overcoming adversity and finding success as a woman in sports. Helmed by MSG Networks’ Knicks studio and radio analyst Monica McNutt, the group discussion will explore how these accomplished women found success, and how they now inspire young women in the sports world.

Coverage will also include a feature of 8-time New York Golden Gloves Champion and 3-time National Golden Gloves Champion Nisa Rodriguez, who is set to fight at the Theater at Madison Square Garden on March 15. MSG Networks will dive into Rodriguez’s background as a former New York City school teacher and current NYPD, where Rodriguez shares her boxing expertise working with aspiring boy and girl pugilists at the Cops and Kids Gym in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

MSG Networks will feature New York Emmy award-winning “Dyckman: She’s Got Game,” an inside look at the women behind the scenes at the Dyckman Summer Basketball Tournament and how their efforts revitalized the event following the COVID-19 pandemic.

MSG Networks Women’s Empowerment Month programming will also air a feature story – “Melba’s” – showcasing Melba Wilson’s journey to open her iconicMelba’s soul-food restaurant in Harlem.   In addition, MSG Networks will also broadcast multiple vignettes on accomplished women in sports, including Venus Williams, Simone Biles, and Billie Jean King.

All Women’s Empowerment Month programming will also be available on MSG+, MSG Networks’ direct-to-consumer and authenticated streaming service.
