The Mediapro Mexico Facilities, the New beIN SPORTS Production Center

The GRUP MEDIAPRO facilities in Mexico City are now home to the new beIN SPORTS production center, the sports content TV network. In the agreement the group will be putting its human and technical resources at the channel’s disposal for broadcast production as well as the facilities, a set, a control room as well as six commentary booths.

From the group’s production centre, beIN SPORTS will be providing commentary on close to 100 football matches a month from large sporting events such as the African Cup of Nations, the Turkish Super League, the Copa Libertadores, Ligue 1 and 2 from France, among other competitions and the production of sports news programs such as “The Express”. BeIN SPORTS will be providing coverage of sporting events both locally and internationally in Spanish and English for its channels beIN SPORTS and XTRA in the United States and for social media.

GRUP MEDIAPRO has got a long track record in Mexico with an extensive content generation back catalogue and the supply of audiovisual services to third parties. The group has got two production centres, in Mexico City and in Monterrey, and the facilities include four sets (300 m2), a remote production room with both satellite and fibre connectivity, a teleport and the latest EVS and Sony technology.

GRUP MEDIAPRO enjoys a significant presence in the Americas. The production centres in Mexico have at their disposal 6 OB vans, 2 DSNG’s and have got a long track record in the broadcast coverage of sporting events such as the Mexican Pacific League, the Expansión League, the Dominican Republic Caribbean Baseball Series, Women’s football, the MX  League and the qualifying  rounds of the World Cup in the CONCACAF region.
