LALIGA, ESPN and Disneyland Resort Celebrate Soccer Fans with ElClásico Fan Event at Downtown Disney District

LALIGA, in collaboration with ESPN, and Disneyland Resort, announces that ElPartidazo, LaLiga North America’s fan facing soccer platform, will be hosted for the first time at Downtown Disney District in Anaheim, Calif. As part of the initiative, Downtown Disney District will offer fans a viewing experience on ElClásico match between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, on Sunday, April 21st.

The production will be highlighted by live, English and Spanish-language studio shows and segments — Fuera de Juego, ESPNFC, and SportsCenter — originating from Downtown Disney District, offering viewers at home news and analysis of the match, while fans onsite can view the match, pre-and-post studio shows, and see some favorite soccer personalities in person.

Some of soccer’s most-recognizable personalities will be on location, including international soccer legends Hugo Sanchez and Iker Casillas. They will be joined by ESPN’s soccer experts, Hércules Gomez, Mauricio Pedroza Ricardo Puig, and Sebastian Salazar, among others. ESPN’s telecast will include contributions from ESPN talents from Bristol and Madrid.

Downtown Disney District will be home to the festivities, with ESPN’s surround presentation originating from the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage. As part of the experience, fans will be able to enjoy a viewing of the match from the stage, meet some of their favorite personalities and enjoy a variety of activities that cater to family members of all ages. Experiences at the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage will be available to guests on a first-come, first-served basis.

El Partidazo event will be held at Splitsville Luxury Lanes. Guests will need to pre-register, and the event will be available to fans on a first-come, first-served basis.

Festivities will kick off at 11 a.m. PT, with ElClásico match kicking off at 12pm PT.
