Cosm/ESPN Deal Will Bring NBA, NHL, Tennis, College Football, and More to ‘Shared Reality’ Venues

ESPN joins NBC Sports, TNT Sports, NBA, and UFC as Cosm live-content partner

Cosm continues to grow its portfolio of content to present in its forthcoming immersive venues, inking a multi-year agreement with ESPN for NBA, NHL, US Open tennis, college football regular season and playoffs, men’s and women’s college basketball, college baseball and softball, and selected UFC Fight Nights. Cosm will produce and present these live events in “Shared Reality,” an experience that “bridges the virtual and physical worlds” through Cosm’s pioneered technology and 87-ft.-diameter, 8K+ LED domes.

Cosm’s first two public venues, set to open this year at Hollywood Park in Los Angeles and at Grandscape in Dallas, promise to deliver state-of-the-art visuals and feature enhanced food and beverage service “to make guests feel like they are sitting front row, courtside, or rink-side at live events taking place across the world,” according to Cosm. In July 2023, Cosm and UFC offered the first-ever UFC fight in Shared Reality during an exclusive media showcase at the Cosm Experience Center in Salt Lake City ahead of UFC 291. In January, Cosm signd a deal with NBC Sports for Premier League (EPL) soccer, Big Ten and Notre Dame college football, and premium horse-racing events. The deal follows an agreement with TNT Sports for NBA regular-season and playoff games, Stanley Cup Playoffs, and selected U.S. Men’s and Women’s National Soccer Team matches. Cosm also has agreements with the NBA and UFC to produce and present live events.
