Apple Introduces First-Ever Immersive Sports Film with Major League Soccer

Starting March 28 at 6:00pm PT/9:00pm ET, all Apple Vision Pro users can experience the first-ever sports film captured in Apple Immersive Video featuring highlights from the 2023 Major League Soccer Cup playoffs. Apple Immersive Video is a brand new entertainment format pioneered by Apple, featuring 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view and Spatial Audio, available only on Apple Vision Pro.

The short film spotlights defending champs Columbus Crew and LAFC players as well as narration from MLS Season Pass broadcasters Taylor Twellman and Jake Zivin. Fans will feel every heart-pounding moment during the match as they are transported to places they have never been before, from high above each goal to Columbus Crew’s champagne-filled celebration in the locker room. The five minute film, titled 2023 MLS Cup Highlights, is available for free through the Apple TV app on Apple Vision Pro.

Fans can also access MLS Season Pass from the Apple TV app on Apple Vision Pro, where they can watch games alongside other apps; within an Environment, transforming their physical surroundings while making the screen feel 100 feet wide; and in Spatial Audio for an even more immersive viewing experience.
