BitFire Expands Internationally in Technology Partnership with UK-Based Live Broadcast Services Company, Jackshoot

BitFire announces a technology services partnership with London, UK based broadcasting firm Jackshoot. The relationship will allow Jackshoot’s experienced team of broadcasters to produce content for live and on-demand productions with greater ease and flexibility. Adding a truly global reach to the platform.

Building on BitFire’s IP-based, ultra-low-latency Transport Network and the versatile capabilities of the BitFire Media Platform, Jackshoot will bring previously-unimagined production power to their customers. “We continue to expand both domestically and internationally with our latest technology and service offerings. Given Jackshoot’s dedication to providing the highest quality productions in a very cost effective and efficient manner made this partnership an easy choice.” says Andy Hansen EVP, Bitfire Networks.

As well as providing an operational improvement, there is also minimal upfront investment required to use the network, with the commercial model akin to a pay-as-you-go contract. Something the broadcast network will never have seen before for such high-quality transmission and production facilities that are so revolutionarily versatile and interoperable.

Started in 1998 and incorporated in 2006 in the UK, Jackshoot offers services to clients around the world that cover the complete production process, from content creation and project planning, culminating in the final broadcast and distributed feed. The firm has been working with BitFire to deliver live sports production from the UK, Europe and rest of world back to the US, and will expand the relationship to deliver imaginative content from challenging OB locations as well as permanent studios, including live broadcast and post-production, using de-rig and vehicle-based facilities.

Through the use of the BitFire Transport Network, FireBridge, and the BitFire Media Platform, Jackshoot will more readily apply their extensive technical expertise to produce a variety of high quality productions, including arena-scale shoots and high profile interviews and product launches for live broadcast and online streaming. BitFire’s online technical solutions enable an immediate and seamless transfer of existing broadcast workflows to a modern hybrid approach.

“We are impressed with the phenomenal technology the team at BitFire has invented,” states Simon Haywood, Founder of Jackshoot. “Where has BitFire been all of my life? We are in love with it!”
