CFP National Championship 2026: Indiana Football’s Digital Crew Generate Hype Around Undefeated Run to Miami

Hype videos, game recaps, and a platform-specific approach has been successful this year

If anyone had any doubt left in their mind, let’s correct the obvious: Indiana University is, most certainly, now a football school. Known for being a perennial blue blood in men’s basketball, the Hoosiers football program is one win away from sealing an undefeated season as College Football Playoff National Champions. The University of Miami Hurricanes stand in their way, but on the sidelines, the program’s social media and creative content team is continuing to build consistent hype for the faithful fans rooting for their favorite squad to go all the way. Heading into Monday night’s title game at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium, the crew consisting of Assistant Athletic Director, Creative Video, Andrew Brown; Assistant Director, Creative Video, Trevor Bowens; Director, Football Creative Video, Darrell Grant; Director, Social Media & Creative Strategy, Rachel Gillam; and Director, Photography, Dani Meersman, will look to add more fuel to the fire.

In this interview, the group breaks down how they tailor their short-term content to their various platforms, how they establish a creative direction with their still photography to drive more engaging visuals, how they take all of this material to develop a cohesive strategy on social media, how they gain the trust of Coach Curt Cignetti and his roster of players to tell behind-the-scenes stories of the season, and much more.
