Super Bowl LIV

Want To Watch Super Bowl LIV in UHD HDR? Here’s How

Fox Sports will offer content in the format through several distributors and devices

Fox Sports today rolled out some more details concerning the delivery of Super Bowl LIV in ultra high definition (UHD) and high dynamic range (HDR). The game will be available through the Fox Sports and Fox NOW apps on selected 4K streaming devices. In addition, the UHD broadcast will be available through Fox Sports distributors DirecTV, DISH, Comcast Xfinity X1, Altice Optimum, Verizon FIOS, and FuboTV. Super Bowl content also will be available via Amazon FireTV 4K: UHD/HDR and AppleTV 4K: UHD/SDR.

The broadcast will be natively produced in 1080p/60 fps HLG and upconverted to 2160p/60 fps. It will be offered in the Fox Sports and Fox NOW apps in HDR10 and by cable/satellite providers in various HDR formats.

Whereas UHD adds more pixels, HDR makes the pixels better by increasing dark and light levels and adding even more color information within each pixel, taking the possibilities in color variation from millions to billions.

UHD HDR content will include the Fox NFL Kickoff Show (1:00–2:00 p.m. ET), Fox NFL Super Bowl Pregame Show (2:00–6:00 p.m.) and Super Bowl LIV on Fox (6:00 p.m.), including the Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show.
