Pac-12 Networks To Stream Pac-12 Plus Events on Twitter

Pac-12 Networks announced nine Pac-12 Plus events to be streamed on Twitter over the next month, beginning with a women’s soccer match between Oregon and Colorado on Thursday, Oct. 6. These are the first events in a season-long partnership to stream Pac-12 events on Twitter’s new live content platform.

“Over the years, our universities have been producing live event streams from their campuses,” says Pac-12 Networks President Lydia Murphy-Stephans. “We’re thrilled these events will now receive more exposure on the Twitter platform enabling fans to watch their favorite teams in an easy access communal format.”

Pac-12 Networks struck the partnership with Twitter to distribute more Pac-12 events directly to fans and complement its broadcast of 850 live events on its seven linear television networks. It also provides a new digital avenue for Pac-12 Networks and universities to connect with more fans on a platform that is already widely used for consuming and engaging with sports content.

“We have designed Pac-12 Networks to embrace technology and incorporate innovation into our day-to-day work flow,” continues Murphy-Stephans. “These university produced live events will now be able to reach more fans than ever before, supporting our mission to provide more exposure to our schools, their sports programs and Pac-12 student-athletes.”
