Grass Valley Receives Two NewBay Media Product Innovation Awards

Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, has announced that its LDX 86N Series and GV Korona K-Frame S-series production switcher have received NewBay Media Product Innovation Awards from TV Technology. NewBay Media’s Product Innovation Award, launched in 2013, recognizes excellence in manufacturing of products to serve the TV/pro video and radio/online audio industries.

77686_GrassValley_Logo_4c_cleanGrass Valley launched the new LDX 86N Native HD/3G/4K/High-Speed System Camera Solutions in April 2016 as a complementary addition to the current generation of LDX 86 Series cameras. The camera series offers customers the flexibility to choose either the ultimate 4K resolution with native 4K imaging or switch to native 3G/HD for all applications where uncompromised 3G/HD performance is required. With seven Emmy awards for imaging technologies, Grass Valley continues its unparalleled track record in advanced imaging with this addition to its camera line-up.

Broadcasters around the world see Grass Valley switchers as the “gold standard,” and the GV Korona K-Frame S-series Video Production Center switcher builds on that reputation by bringing a much-needed compact option to professionals who work in mobile units or small studios. This new option has given broadcasters access to the legendary performance and creative power in a switcher that comes at a lower price point and a smaller footprint. An additional benefit to operators is that there is no new training required — once they know how to use any one of Grass Valley’s switchers, they know how to use them all.

“Each year Grass Valley works to build on its decades of experience to bring our customers innovative new products that make their lives easier and their work even better for their audience,” says Neerav Shah, senior vice president of strategic marketing, Grass Valley. “In an increasingly competitive market, these awards confirm our commitment to continuously introducing best-in-class products and technologies.”

Winners of NewBay Media’s Product Innovation Award are selected by a panel of professional users. Evaluation criteria include innovation of concept and design, creative use of technology, price value and suitability for use in a broadcast TV/pro video or broadcast/online radio environment.
