Lynx Technik AG intros HD/SD signal processing products

LYNX Technik AG, provider of HD/SD signal processing and interface products,
announces the immediage availability of four new HD modules directed at the
broadcast and professional video industry.

First up is an HD Down Converter, which provides advanced broadcast-quality down conversion functionality and offers both analog and digital video and audio outputs. The key advantages to the HD Down Converter is that it is a truly integrated multi-format module, auto-detecting/sensing and self-configuring to the input signal (SD or HD) it is connected to.

Two new Dual Channel Digital Down Converters, which are extremely
compact and offer full audio support, are also available. These are unique because since they offer two separate channels of down-conversion on one card, up to 20 channels of broadcast quality down conversion can be accommodated in a single 2RU frame. This allows broadcasters to do more format conversion with less equipment, especially where space is a premium, while still meeting existing and evolving requirements.

Finally, a 1>8 SD/HD Distribution Amplifier is a simple but high performance
auto-sensing / auto-detecting device that takes one input and distributes
the signal to eight outputs. It can be configured for clocked or non
re-clocked operation giving engineers a choice based on the requirements of
the facility.
