ESPN Star Sports acquires mobile rights for Wimbledon

ESPN Star Sports has acquired the mobile rights of the world’s premier tennis
Grand Slam event –
Wimbledon. Under the terms
of the agreement, Mobile ESPN will offer a comprehensive range of mobile
content from the world’s highest profile tennis event to consumers in

India.

Mobile ESPN is targeted to be the home of sports for fans across
India on the new emerging medium –

Mobile. The Mobile ESPN
service will provide the official video clips, match score updates, player
specific contents, wallpapers and the official
Wimbledon
ringtone “Purple & Green”. The video clips will contain a daily
dose of the Day’s Highlights (2007 Championship preview, Daily Preview,
Individual Match highlights, Player interviews and Daily Round Up) and also
archive clips of the Golden moments and the 2006 championships round-up.

Mobile ESPN will aggregate a Wimbledon 2007 zone on the WAP portals of all the
leading telcos in

India
including Airtel, Hutch, Idea, and BSNL.
Wimbledon
content will also available to R-World and Tata Indicom users. We have created
