The NBA Returns to TNT with an Opening Night Doubleheader as Turner Sports Tips-Off its 24th Year of Coverage

Turner Network Television (TNT) will televise 52 regular season primetime NBA games
for the 2007-08 season, 46 of which will be part of its Thursday night
exclusive doubleheaders during Turner Broadcasting’s 24th season of NBA
basketball coverage. TNT’s full slate of games includes nine appearances
each by the Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks, L.A. Lakers, Miami Heat, Phoenix
Suns and San Antonio Spurs. Once again, the network’s entire NBA regular
and postseason telecasts will air in high-definition as part of “TNT in HD.”

TNT’s coverage begins on Tuesday, Oct. 30, with a special one-hour preview show, NBA
Tip-Off ’07, at 7 p.m. ET, followed at 8 p.m. with an exclusive opening night
doubleheader. The first game will feature the first regular season game
for No. 1 overall selection Greg Oden and the Portland Trail Blazers, as they
take on the defending World Champion San Antonio Spurs and the dynamic duo of
eight-time All-Star Tim Duncan and 2007 NBA Finals M.V.P. Tony Parker.
Game two features an exciting Western Conference showdown featuring two-time
NBA scoring champion Tracy McGrady and international sensation Yao Ming and the
Houston Rockets visiting defending NBA scoring champion Kobe Bryant and the L.A.
Lakers (10:30 p.m.).

Opening Week continues on TNT on Thursday, Nov. 1 as Chauncey Billups,
Richard Hamilton and the Detroit Pistons take on Shaquille O’Neal, Dwayne
Wade and the Miami Heat (8 p.m. ET), followed by two-time MVP Steve Nash and
the Phoenix Suns visiting No. 2 overall pick Kevin Durant and the Seattle
SuperSonics. (10:30 p.m.).

Along with its Opening Week doubleheaders, TNT’s schedule includes a number of marquee
match-ups, including:

Nov. 8 – The Golden State Warriors play host as they try to follow up their
2007 Western Conference Playoff upset of the Dallas Mavericks (10:30 p.m. ET).

Nov. 29 – An old rivalry is renewed when Zach Randolph and the New York Knicks
travel to Beantown to face Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics (8 p.m. ET).

Dec. 6 – A battle of centers as perennial All-Star Shaquille O’Neal and
the Miami Heat head to the Pacific Northwest to take on Greg Oden and the Portland
Trail Blazers (10:30 p.m. ET).

Jan. 21 – An MLK day tripleheader features the Chicago Bulls @ Memphis Grizzlies
(5:30 p.m. ET), the Cleveland Cavaliers @ Miami Heat (7:30 p.m.), followed by
the Denver Nuggets @ L.A. Lakers (10:30 p.m.).

Jan. 24 – The last two NBA Champions battle it out on South Beach as the 2007
Champion San Antonio Spurs take on the 2006 Champion Miami Heat (8 p.m.
ET).

Feb. 14 – A rematch from the 2007 Eastern Conference Playoffs featuring the Miami
Heat @ Chicago Bulls (8 p.m. ET), followed by a battle of former MVPs as
2007 winner Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks visiting 2005 &
2006 winner Steve Nash and the Phoenix Suns (10:30 p.m.).

Feb. 21 – The top two picks in the 2007 Entry Draft go head-to-head, No.
1 pick Greg Oden and the Portland Trail Blazers host No. 2 pick Kevin Durant
and the Seattle SuperSonics (10:30 p.m. ET).

Apr. 10 – TNT’s last doubleheader of the regular season includes the Denver
Nuggets visiting the Golden State Warriors (8 p.m. ET), followed by a battle
for L.A. supremacy with the L.A. Lakers @ the L.A. Clippers (10:30 p.m. ET).

TNT will once again serve as the exclusive home for NBA All-Star 2008, airing all the
action on NBA All-Star Friday, NBA All-Star Saturday events and the 2008 NBA
All-Star Game from New Orleans, Louisiana. In addition, the
network will also air forty or more NBA playoff games including, on
an exclusive basis, the conference semi-finals and the Western Conference
Finals.

The NBA on TNT’s marquis roster of NBA announcers include the studio team of two-time
Emmy award-winning host Ernie Johnson, Hall-of-Famer Charles Barkley and
two-time NBA Champion Kenny Smith who will be joined throughout the season by Reggie
Miller and Hall-of-Famer Magic Johnson. On-site game announcers will
include Marv Albert (play-by-play), Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Doug Collins (analyst),
David Aldridge (reporter), Cheryl Miller (reporter), and Craig Sager
(reporter).

TNT is in its 19th consecutive year of NBA coverage. Sister network TBS aired the NBA
exclusively for Turner Broadcasting from 1984-89, with TNT serving as Turner’s
sole NBA cable home from 1990-94. Both networks aired NBA games from 1994-2002.
