Topping the headlines in today’s venue news is a report that London’s Olympic Stadium, which will anchor the 2012 summer Olympic Games, might be torn down and rebuilt after the Closing Ceremonies to host a football club.

London mayor Boris Johnson has refused to rule out the possibility the Olympic stadium might be pulled down and rebuilt after 2012. The 80,000-capacity stadium will be the centerpiece of the venues to be built at the Olympic Park in
Stratford, East London, and will host track and field events. After the Olympics, it may be reduced to a 25,000-seat venue to host the West Ham, Leyton Orient, or Tottenham football club…
