B2 Networks Lands Southern Professional Hockey League

The Southern Professional Hockey League and B2 Networks inked a multi-year deal bringing all SPHL regular-season and playoff games to the broadband network. The first broadcasts will begin with Opening Night on Oct. 24 and continue through the final game of the SPHL President’s Cup.
“We look forward to starting a relationship with such a credible operation like B2 Networks and hope that our fans enjoy the enhancement of options that this new partnership will bring to the SPHL,” says SPHL commissioner Jim Combs.
Fans wanting to watch SPHL hockey via B2 Networks will have several options. Individual-game viewing for all league contests is available for $7 (US) per game. For those interested in following one team for the entire regular season, there is the “B2 Power Play,” a pass to watch all home and away games for $140 (US). For $19.95 (US), B2onDemand will offer a copy of any game broadcast on the network to fans wanting a permanent keepsake. To watch live SPHL action on B2 Networks, a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player are needed. To access broadcasts, fans can log on through individual team Websites, www.thesphl.com, or www.b2tv.com.
“B2 Networks is proud to add the SPHL to our growing list of partners,” says B2 Networks SVP Bruce LeVine. “The SPHL is celebrating its fifth anniversary this season, and we hope fans will enjoy watching the year’s great moments on B2.”
