Txtstation, Carolina Panthers Engage Fans With Alltel Fan Poll

The Carolina Panthers and Txtstation are providing
fans with an interactive text messaging feature for all home games during the
2008-2009 NFL season.

The “Alltel Fan Poll” engages fans with an opinion-based question
consisting of two or three options. Promoted via a broadcast-quality graphic on
the video board and a PA announcement, the element encourages fans to take out
their phones, vote by sending a text message, and view their results as they
appear in real time.
The percentage bars update repeatedly throughout
the promotion, providing everyone in the stadium the opportunity to view the
opinions of the Panthers faithful.

“Taking care of our fans and constantly improving the in-stadium experience
are top priorities for us,” says Kyle Caddell, director of sponsor sales and services
for the Carolina Panthers. “Furthermore, Alltel Wireless is a valued sponsor of
ours so we wanted to make sure we were going the extra mile to help them
activate their brand within our stadium. Txtstation has been able to fulfill
these needs, and as such we were very pleased to launch this initiative
together.”
