ARRI Rolls Out New Gear at NAB
Story Highlights
ARRI is introducing a host of new cinematography gear at NAB, including its Master Macro 100 camera, Compact Primes lenses, High Definition Integrated Video System (HD-IVS), and several accessories.
The Master Macro 100 features a 1:1 magnification ratio, a maximum aperture of T2.0, and an optical design developed specifically for macro work, making it ideal for tabletop cinematography, product shots, close-up inserts on feature films, or other applications that require macro lenses.
The Compact Primes are based on the optics of the Zeiss ZF still photography lenses and offer a completely new cine-style lens housing and cine-quality manufacturing process.
The HD-IVS uses digital-sensor and image processing to create high-resolution video-assist images from film cameras.
And accessories being rolled out by ARRI include: new top and side flags, a 138 to 130mm adapter, new filter frames, and a retrofit kit for its MMB-1 system; the MB-28 Mattebox, designed specifically to fit the Angenieux Optimo 24-290mm zoom, in addition to prime lenses; the PL Mount Director’s Finder, a handheld unit for viewing through the lens without the need for a camera; and a new Wireless Lens Control System.
