Video Clarity’s New RTM Offers Automated, Real-Time A/V Monitoring

Video Clarity (Booth SU11321) introduced RTM, an automated real-time audio/video signal monitor that constantly monitors signals for audio and video degradation, loss of ancillary data, and audio-video synchronization.

“Video Clarity is committed to making automated, real-time A/V quality monitoring a reality,” says President Blake Homan. “RTM saves valuable man-hours by monitoring the quality, looking for anomalies in the audio, video, and VANC, and it never gets tired or takes a day off.”

RTM monitors two HD/SD-SDI input signals (a reference signal and a processed signal) and logs discrepancies. When an anomaly is found, it generates an alarm and captures the signals for later analysis. Coupled with a known-good MPEG decoder, it can verify that an output signal continues to be the highest quality and that audio-video synchronization has been maintained.

The RTM is a rack-mountable 3RU device available now priced at $25,000.
