Tiger Fades, But NBC’s Players Ratings Don’t

Despite Tiger Woods’s fade from contention in Sunday’s final round of The Players tournament, NBC Sports delivered the event’s best rating in five years, posting a 4.1 and 10 share, up 21% compared with last year.

The rating peaked from 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m. at a 5.2/12 as Henrik Stenson secured his victory.

The top metered markets were: Jacksonville, FL, 12.2/23; St. Louis, 11.7/30; Fort Myers, FL, 10.2/21; West Palm Beach, FL, 8.0/17; Orlando, FL, 7.8/18; Tampa, FL, 6.7/16; Charlotte, NC, 6.2/14; Greenville/Spartanburg, SC, 6.2/13; Tulsa, OK, 5.1/14; and Buffalo, NY, 5.6/12.
