MLB: World Series Games To Start Earlier

Major League Baseball moved the start time for World Series games back approximately 40 minutes, with first pitches now scheduled for shortly before 8 p.m. ET following the conclusion of 7:30 p.m. pregame shows.

MLB commissioner Bud Selig also said American League Championship Series games on Fox will follow a similar schedule.

“Our goal is to schedule games so the largest number of people can watch, and Fox has gone to an enormous amount of effort to make this happen,” Selig said in a prepared statement. “It’s been a great joint effort between the two of us.”
