HP Developing ‘Triple Wide’ TV

Hewlett-Packard Co. is developing a “triple wide” television screen that could display an entire basketball court, showing the baskets at both ends.
According to VentureBeat, HP’s chief technology officer, Phil McKinney, showed off the technology at a conference in San Jose last week.
Palo Alto-based HP is developing the special HD screen, which combines images from multiple cameras, with the National Basketball Association.
HP publicized the idea at the DisplaySearch Emerging Technologies conference.
