SVG Year in Review: December

The induction ceremony for the 2010 Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame was the emotional highlight of the year for the team at SVG and many of its members. The ceremony was highlighted by a virtual reunion of John Madden and Pat Summerall who formed one of the industry’s top all-time broadcast teams for 21 NFL seasons.

The HOF ceremony concluded a busy two days for SVG as more than 800 people attended the 2010 League Technology Summit. The event included a number of highlights, including keynotes by Fox Sports President Eric Shanks and Steve Roberts, SVP of Sports Strategy for DirecTV. Other highlights included panel discussions featuring leaders in the industry on topics like the state of the industry, producing and directing in the digital age, the future of 3D, the evolving compound, and Internet-delivery of content to TV sets. In addition SVG offered up 50-plus technology showcases, highlighting the latest products in 3D technology, streaming, and graphics.
