Quantel Pegs Avid Vet Tim Claman as New CTO

Quantel has appointed Tim Claman as its Chief Technology Officer. Claman brings to Quantel experience gained as both a supplier and user of broadcast and postproduction technology. Most recently, as CTO of Avid, Claman helped shape the company’s technology and product strategies over a period of 14 years.

Prior to that Tim worked with a number of leading US post production facilities, helping them move into the digital age and working on many high-profile film and TV productions. Before working in Film and Television, Tim was a professional recording engineer and musician in Los Angeles.
