Campus Insiders Partners With Boston University to Stream 2016-17 Ice Hockey

Boston University and Campus Insiders have announced a partnership to live-stream 32 men’s and women’s ice hockey home contests during the 2016-17 season. The high-definition broadcasts will be provided free of charge to fans across the world.

With this partnership, Campus Insiders and Boston University will showcase some of the best college hockey in the nation. The storied BU men’s hockey team – a five-time NCAA champion – has consistently been one of the top programs in the country for decades while the women’s program, in just 11 years at the varsity level, has captured five conference titles and made six NCAA tournament appearances.

BU is the only Division I school in the nation to have both its men’s and women’s ice hockey programs make two NCAA title game appearances over the past decade.

“We are thrilled to partner this year with Campus Insiders to make our Men’s and Women’s Hockey home games available on their network and through many other emerging distribution channels thanks to the relationships they have established,” said Drew Marrochello, Boston University’s Director of Athletics. “We hope that this announcement, coupled with the upgraded streaming quality and the greater availability, provides our loyal fans in Terrier Nation the best viewing experience possible for those games they cannot attend in person at Agganis Arena and Walter Brown Arena.”

With this new partnership, all of Boston University’s live broadcasts will be made available on CampusInsiders.com and other digital streaming platforms that will be announced at a later date.

The BU men’s ice hockey team is the preseason favorite in Hockey East, gathering 10 of out a possible 11 first-place votes in the league’s preseason coaches’ poll, while the women’s squad came in second in their Hockey East coaches’ poll.

All 17 women’s home games and 15 men’s home games will be live-streamed on the Campus Insiders network.
