NAB Show NY: Hitachi Kokusai To Show Off Connectivity Across Acquisition Chain

At NAB New York, Hitachi Kokusai will unveil new innovations for connectivity across the acquisition chain (Booth 1645). New for the show is the HITACHI CU-HD1300T progressive digital triax system, which accommodates 1080p (3GB/s) signal transport at longer distances. The full solution, which includes the CX-HD1300 triax adapter to support HD video, intercom, teleprompter returns and other signals over very long distances, is especiailly useful inside sports and live event venues — and for mobile production companies — that still heavily rely on triax connectivity.

hitachi-cu1300tThe company will also exhibit its CU-HD1300FT multi-format (1080p/1080i/720p) Fiber/Triax camera control unit, introduced at the 2016 NAB Show in April. The dual-purpose CU-HD-1300FT offers both optical fiber connectivity and Hitachi Kokusai’s advanced triax system, which features ultra-low-latency H.264 codec technology and multi-level digital transport for long-distance triax transmission of high bit-rate signals.

Hitachi Kokusai will showcase its range HD and UHD camera systems at the show – all of which offer High Dynamic Range (HDR) capability. This is a significant competitive advantage over other camera manufacturers, most of which limit HDR compatibility to UHD systems. Similarly, Hitachi Kokusai will demonstrate compatibility with openGear Dashboard for remote, software-defined camera control using tablets and other mobile devices. Hitachi Kokusai is the only vendor to offer openGear Dashboard functionality for its entire range of camera systems.

dk_h200Dashboard connectivity extends to the HITACHI DK-H200, a multi-format, compact, HD box camera that is the company’s first to feature native, full frame rate 1080p acquisition. The DK-H200 brings the outstanding performance of the company’s SK-series studio and field cameras to a form factor ideal for point-of-view and remote observation applications. Delivering pristine 1080p video acquisition at pricing previously expected only of interlaced cameras, the DK-H200 makes top-caliber, progressive capture affordable and accessible for more applications than ever before.
