Telemundo Launches Connected-TV App, Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO

Telemundo is first U.S. network to launch a Spanish-specific sports app

Telemundo has launched a standalone, Spanish-language sports app on connected-TV devices that will give subscribers live access to hundreds of  sports events and more on-demand video content that airs on Telemundo and Universo. Telemundo is the first U.S. network to launch such a product.

“We are committed to continue enhancing Telemundo Deportes’ multiplatform offerings, so fans can have access to their favorite sports events whenever they want and on the screen of their choice,” says Joaquin Duro, director, digital sports, Telemundo Deportes. “As the Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app continues to attract our viewers, we are excited to offer them more ways to consume our content across all devices.”

The app — available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast — will include Telemundo’s exclusive Spanish-language coverage of this summer’s FIFA Confederations Cup Russia 2017 (which kicks off on June 17), as well as next summer’s FIFA World Cup. Liga MX, Premier League, Boxeo Telemundo, and NASCAR will also be included in the service.

All events will stream live on the app and will be accompanied by some exclusive short- and long-form VOD content. There’s also a schedule of events, full event replays, and notification capabilities.

To use the Telemundo Deportes EN VIVO app, viewers need to authenticate their pay-TV subscription. The app is available for download on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch as well.
