NextVR Delivers Virtual Reality Highlights of the National Hot Rod Association

NextVR and the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) announced a new partnership to bring fans unique racing experiences in virtual reality, featuring VR highlights from select NHRA events.

NextVR, the Official VR Partner of NHRA, will launch the exclusive partnership by releasing a virtual reality experience captured at the 2018 Auto Club NHRA Finals in Pomona, CA. Content captured includes digital highlight packages produced by NextVR in a 3D stereoscopic VR format. This content is now available for free to fans globally on a new NHRA channel within the NextVR app.

“The adrenaline packed NHRA experience launches at a time where Virtual Reality is seeing explosive growth. There couldn’t be a better time to ignite audiences with this first of it’s kind immersive experience. You can virtually feel the intense heat of the engines on the raceway from a front row seat” says Danny Keens, VP of Content at NextVR. “We are more excited than ever about the growing diversity of content on NextVR in 2019 as we continue to provide our fans with a wide array of world first VR experiences that now includes professional drag racing.”

“We are thrilled to team up with NextVR, a leader in the emerging and growing world of Virtual Reality,” says Ken Adelson, NHRA vice president and chief strategy officer, content and technology. “As the NHRA continues to try and reach our fans in new and exciting ways, utilizing this technology will allow us to bring the world’s fastest and most explosive sport to life.”
