NEP U.S. Inks Multimillion-Dollar Deal With EVS for Next-Gen Tech

NEP U.S. has committed more than $8 million to EVS as part of an effort to upgrade its facilities to EVS XT-VIA next-generation live-production servers and to deploy LSM replay controllers, IPDirector content-management solutions, and other infrastructure systems. All new systems will be delivered starting in September.

“This important deal with NEP confirms EVS’s commitment to support its long-term customers in a transforming broadcast market,” says Dr. Pierre De Muelenaere, chairman of the board and CEO ad interim, EVS. “With this major upgrade, EVS’s XT-VIA servers are expected to become the standard in live production, providing other key players in the industry with access to the very best production technologies available.”

According to EVS, the XT-VIA video-production server offers the utmost level of power for live-TV operations. Comprising the latest generation of technology, it offers IP connectivity and enhanced channel density and media-sharing–network capacity and also enables new production formats in Full HD 1080p and 4K/UHD HDR.
