SVG Summit:CONNECT Preview – Network With Your Peers With SVG CONNECT; MEET FOR THE FUND to Support Those in Need

The SVG Summit may be virtual this year, but it’s still real. Although you won’t be able to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, and learn about the latest technology in person, you can still do so virtually, thanks to SVG CONNECT — the new SVG event networking tool that helps you connect with all other registrants before, during, and after the show. In addition, at this year’s SVG Summit:CONNECT, you can do business and do some good at the same time with MEET FOR THE FUND, a new way for members to meet with event sponsors to see what’s new, get some answers, and contribute to our industry’s charity, the SVG Broadcasting Fund.

SVG CONNECT Networking Tool

The new SVG CONNECT event networking tool helps you connect with all other registrants. Search or use a filter to find a registrant you want to meet or strike up a conversation with. Find someone at a company you’ve been looking to contact or someone who shares a common program or technology interest.

Your SVG CONNECT chats take place privately within the SVG CONNECT environment; messages will be blind-copied to your email. Make sure to connect with new and old colleagues at this year’s SVG Summit:CONNECT.

MEET FOR THE FUND

At this year’s SVG Summit:CONNECT, you can do business and do some good at the same time. Introduced for this event, MEET FOR THE FUND allows members to meet with event sponsors to see what’s new, get some answers, and contribute to our industry’s charity, the SVG Broadcasting Fund.

Here’s how it works.

  1. Click here to review participating event sponsors
  2. Message at least three event sponsors* to arrange a meeting (before, during, or after the show)
  3. SVG will donate $100 in your name to the SVG Broadcasting Fund for your three-meeting pledge.

*NOTE: A company must be a participating event sponsor in the MEET FOR THE FUND program for the meeting to qualify.

Thank you in advance for contributing to your industry colleagues in need.

Established in 2012, the SVG Broadcasting Fund has assisted hundreds of sports-production professionals who have found themselves unable to work due to injury, illness, or disaster. The Fund offers financial assistance by directly paying bills on their behalf, providing some peace of mind during stressful life events so that they can focus on healing or rebuilding their lives and their families’.

The SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund is a not-for-profit, section 501(c)(3) corporation.

For more information about the SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund, contact Carrie Bowden, administrator, SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund, at [email protected] or 917-446-4412, or visit www.sportsbroadcastfund.org

What is the MEET FOR THE FUND networking tool?

Use this tool to schedule meetings, demos, or catch-up calls with one of our Event Sponsors. For every attendee who schedules three or more Event Sponsor meetings, SVG will donate $100 to the SVG Fund in support of industry members in times of need. Only Event Sponsors listed in the MEET FOR THE FUND tool qualify toward your three-vendor meeting pledge.

Can I meet with more than three vendors and contribute more money to the Fund?

We encourage you to meet with as many vendors as you find valuable and to directly contribute to the Fund. However, SVG will contribute a maximum of $100 per attendee for your first three scheduled meetings.

Is there any specific time-frame for holding these MEET FOR THE FUND meetings?

Hold them anytime that is convenient for you and the vendor. We have set aside an hour at the end of every show day (Dec. 14-17) for meetings, but there is no specific time limit or “exhibit hours.”

How do I document that my MEET FOR THE FUND meetings took place?

This is a MEET FOR THE FUND “pledge,” and SVG will make its donation based on your outreach messages reported directly to us from the MEET FOR THE FUND tool. No further documentation is necessary.
