YES Network Develops New Mobile App for Live Streamed Games, Exclusive Content

The YES Network has launched a new app that provides authenticated users with a live stream of the YES Network — including New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets, New York City FC, and New York Liberty games, in addition to personalized notification features, an alternate feed and game highlights.

The YES App replaces the Fox Sports GO app as the official destination for YES’ streaming content. The YES App is powered by the same live streaming technology used for the NCAA Basketball Tournament, Olympics and Super Bowl, thus providing a significantly improved fan experience. YES is the exclusive regional television partner of the Yankees, Nets, NYCFC and Liberty.

Key elements of the YES App available to authenticated YES Network subscribers:

• Live games – fans can access a 24/7 live stream of the entire YES Network, including all of the network’s Yankees, Nets, NYCFC, and Liberty game telecasts, pregame and postgame shows, and other Emmy Award-winning original programming. Encore presentations of Yankees, Nets, NYCFC, and Liberty game telecasts will also be available on the app.
• Personalization – the app delivers a customized experience for each user based on the favorites selected during the on-boarding process; video playlists, team schedules, statistics, and standings will be tailored to the user’s preferences.
• Notifications – fans can opt in to receive team news and score update notifications from YES’ four team partners.
• Alternate Feed – fans will be able to choose to watch YES’ exclusive Nets home game telecasts from the perspective of the “Mobile View” camera stationed at the scorer’s table at half-court, a popular view that until now has only been available to NBA League Pass subscribers.
• Game Highlights – fans watching live games on the app will be able to view curated highlights from earlier in those games.
• VOD Programming – the app’s VOD library includes exclusive YES programming such as the Emmy Award-winning CenterStage and The Feed series, interviews, press conferences and more.
• Live Stats, Box Scores and Standings – fans can access live stats and box scores during and after YES’ Yankees, Nets, NYCFC and Liberty game telecasts, along with constantly updated league standings.
