SVG SportsTech On Demand: Brainstorm’s Ricardo Montesa on Real-time, Live Virtual Production and AR/VR Made Easy

While the 2021 NAB Show has been moved to October, the spring season will still feature a cavalcade of new product releases and groundbreaking news coming out of the broadcast technology sector. In an effort to keep the video-production community informed, SVG is hosting a series of SportsTech On Demand video interviews throughout April, May, and June with executives from the industry’s top technology vendors.

Last month, Brainstorm successfully completed the TelePorter project, funded by the Google Digital News Initiative. Thanks to Brainstorm’s Augmented Reality technology, TelePorter allows reporters to be ‘teleported’ to the TV set from whatever location they are reporting from at that very moment. The TelePorter application is installed on the mobile phone and guides the user in capturing their image and communicating between the reporter and the production centre of the news program or TV show.
