Watch Now! Mental Health Minute, Ep. 5: How to Re-Engage with Family and Friends

Welcome to episode five of the Mental Health Minute, a new 10-part series created by SVG and Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Created for sports production professionals like those working hard at the Olympics, each episode takes a look at how to deal with a specific issue. Today’s episode focuses on how to re-engage with family and friends once you return home.

Our guest is Dr. Leslie Adair, Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation, National Executive Director of Mental Health. Dr. Adair provides operational oversight of outpatient mental health services system-wide. Dr. Adair is also responsible for ensuring the delivery of standardized, high-quality and evidence-based mental health treatment services across the continuum of care. Her areas of interest include assessment and treatment of co-occurring disorders, family therapy and quality patient care. She holds a master’s degree in counseling and psychotherapy from the Alfred Adler Institute of Minnesota, and a master’s degree and doctorate in clinical psychology from Fielding Graduate University in Santa Barbara, California.

Throughout the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, our Win Back Your Life 12-Step Meetings will be held DAILY! These meetings provide support and community to those in (or seeking) recovery for a substance use disorder. It’s an opportunity to begin (or end) each day just the right way and you can join from anywhere. All are welcome!
