Florida Panthers, Verizon Team Up to Bring Technology Integrations at FLA Live Arena

The Florida Panthers and FLA Live Arena have announced a three-year partnership with Verizon, which will feature technology integrations for all events at FLA Live Arena, Panthers IceDen, and the construction of a technology experience at the currently under-construction adaptive reuse Fort Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium.

“Verizon 5G is prominent across South Florida and we’re excited to welcome their cutting-edge technology to more than two million guests across hockey, concerts and events at FLA Live Arena, Panthers IceDen and War Memorial Auditorium,” says Panthers Chief Commercial Officer Shawn Thornton. “We look forward to how this partnership will enhance our fan experience through ease of using mobile devices for ticketing, concession ordering, claiming exclusive offers and more.”

Verizon 5G deployment at FLA Live Arena will support the use of mobile devices for an enhanced venue experience, such as contactless ordering, mobile ticketing and the ability to share moments on a fast, reliable network. As part of the partnership, Verizon Business Group will build out a 5G network infrastructure at the Fort Lauderdale War Memorial Auditorium, the future home to the Baptist Health IcePlex and South Florida’s first-of-its-kind ballroom setup performance theater.

This 5G network will provide the community with new experiences, access, and speed to make entertainment, music, and sporting events memorable at the facility. The all-new Verizon section at FLA Live Arena will offer fans at Panthers games the chance to redeem experiences earned through the customer loyalty program Verizon Up. This becomes Verizon’s sixth partnership with a National Hockey League team.
