Pixellot Launches First Smart Sports City Partnership to Boost Local Sports Visibility, Revolutionize Viewer Availability

Pixellot announces a partnership with Chartres Métropole Innovations Numériques (CM’IN), marking the first smart sports city collaboration of its kind in France.

This alliance aims to democratize sports media access and revolutionize the way local sports are available to the public. Pixellot and CM’IN‘s joint efforts will pave the way for expanding to other smart cities in France and beyond.

Through this partnership, Pixellot and CM’IN deployed 12 AI-automated sports production systems across various sporting clubs in Chartres, demonstrating their dedication to making sports accessible to a wider audience. The inaugural collaboration between Pixellot and CM’IN will be prominently showcased at the upcoming Future of Sports Exhibition at VivaTech Paris, June 14-17.

Following an intensive test phase, Pixellot and CM’IN are officially launching this partnership to the public. The installation of twelve sports production systems, including eight fixed and four mobile units, across various sporting venues in Chartres will elevate the coverage of football, basketball, handball, and rugby in the region.

In addition to the hardware implementation, CM’IN has launched an Over-The-Top (OTT) application called “VIVAPP.” This user-friendly application, developed by CM’IN, will be the gateway to access all the sports content and will provide seamless access to live and on-demand games.

Alain Guillotin, CEO of CM’IN, expresses his enthusiasm about this revolutionary collaboration, stating, “We are thrilled to team up with Pixellot to bring a new era of sports media access to Chartres. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission of embracing innovation and leveraging digital advancements. Together, we will enhance community engagement and participation in local sports by delivering high-quality coverage to our residents.”

Pixellot’s first city-based partnership with CM’IN, Chartres Métropole Innovations Numériques, signifies a milestone for both organizations. As they forge ahead, the two aim to replicate this success by establishing collaborations with cities throughout France and beyond.

Alon Werber, CEO of Pixellot, echoes Guillotin’s sentiments, remarking, “Partnering with CM’IN and Chartres on this transformative initiative is truly inspiring. This collaboration embodies Pixellot’s commitment to leveraging our technology to democratize sports coverage. We are dedicated to empowering local sports clubs and athletes, ensuring that their achievements are celebrated and shared with an ever-expanding audience. This city-based partnership is just the beginning, as we envision replicating this success in numerous cities across France and beyond.”
