2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup: Telemundo Deportes Presents U.S. Women’s National Team’s First Match vs. Vietnam on Telemundo, Universo, Peacock

Telemundo, the exclusive Spanish-language home of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023 and the U.S. National Teams, presents the U.S. Women’s National Team’s first match for this year’s Women’s World Cup as they embark on a journey to defend their title. Coverage of USA vs. Vietnam will take place from Eden Park in Aukland, NZ on July 21 starting at 8:30 p.m. ET with the match kicking off at 9 p.m. ET LIVE on Telemundo, Universo and Peacock.

Coverage for the match will be anchored by the Telemundo Deportes award-winning commentary team including seven-time Emmy award-winner and Chief Soccer Commentator Andres Cantor calling all the action with former Mexican National Team player Manuel Sol providing game analysis, and professional soccer coach Natalia Astrain live from Eden Park. Emmy award-winning sports journalist Miguel Gurwtiz and Emmy-nominated sports anchor Ana Jurka will lead match coverage from Sydney as hosts providing color and commentary while Carlos Yustis and Deyna Castellanos report pitch-side.

Telemundo Deportes’ pregame show is set to analyze the generational change in the USWNT and how the new roster combines a mix of veteran players with young and fresh talent. Following the match, Telemundo’s leading late-night weekend sports show Zona Mixta will air at 11:30 p.m. ET, or after network news, offering the latest news and commentary with an irreverent and entertaining tone.
