The Connected Campus: How Comms is a Critical Piece in Harvard Athletics’ Live Sports Production Workflow
Harvard's Imry Halevi joins Clear-Com's Vinnie Macri to discuss the workflow
Story Highlights
Harvard University’s athletics department is one of the busiest in the country. With a whopping 42 Division I intercollegiate sports teams, the Crimson’s internal content team has a goal of producing live coverage of as many of them as they can.
But with venues all across campus – and some events happening in other locales in the Boston area and greater New England – how does the department build a reliable network to a centralized control room and utilize it effectively? The Clear-Com Connected Sports Campus has proven fundamental to the television production or gameday presentation process by leveraging a network of intercom devices and software to communicate over a common IP campus infrastructure.
In this presentation, Harvard University’s Associate Director of Athletics – Content & Strategic Communications Imry Halevi is joined by Clear-Com’s Senior Market Outreach Manager Vinnie Macri to discuss how this has created a streamlined and centralized workflow of shared resources that can be accessed from various locations around the Harvard campus.
