Usher To Headline Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show

It’s the fifth year for NFL–Roc Nation collaboration on the event

The NFL and its event partners Apple Music and Roc Nation have announced that R&B icon Usher will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show on Feb. 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the first time the Big Game will take place in that city.

It will be Usher’s first time as headline performer for the Super Bowl Halftime Show; he previously supported the Black-Eyed Peas, headlined the 2011 event.

The Apple Music Super Bowl LVIII Halftime Show telecast will be produced by DPS with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins serving as executive producers and Hamish Hamilton as director. Roc Nation also serves as strategic entertainment advisor of the live performance as part of a deal it signed with the NFL in 2019.

It will be the fifth show for the NFL–Roc Nation partnership, following performances by Shakira and Jennifer Lopez in 2020 and The Weeknd in 2021; the salute to hip-hop’s 50th anniversary featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Kendrick Lamar, and others in 2020; and Rhianna at this year’s event.

“It’s an honor of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list,” said Usher in a statement. “I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

The artist also announced that his ninth LP, Coming Home, will drop on Super Bowl Sunday.

“Usher is an icon whose music has left an indelible mark on the cultural landscape throughout his career, we couldn’t be more excited to have him headline this year’s Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show,” said Seth Dudowsky, head of music, NFL. “We look forward to working with Usher, Roc Nation, and Apple Music to bring fans another Halftime Show for the history books.”
