Verbit Among Sponsors of New Community Playground

Verbi believes in the importance of play and providing recreation spaces that allow everyone to feel included and welcomed. To that end, Verbit is among the financial sponsors of a new playground for children in the Greater Boston area.

Verbit supported client NESN – the broadcast home of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins – in its partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Boston and the Make An Impact Foundation to build a playground at the Boys and Girls Club in Roxbury, MA. Other sponsors included the Red Sox Foundation, Boston Bruins Foundation, Northeastern University, Boston University, eClinical Works, Devlin Energy, Sheehan Family Companies, and Brand Brigade.

NESN and the partners of the playground project collaborated with the children of the Boys & Girls Club to get their input on the design of the playground and recreational space. The playground includes slides, climbers, and an “Accelerator Bird Nest Swing,” which has room for kids to pile in or take a spacious solo ride.

“We are proud to bring this play space to the Boys & Girls Club of Boston and we are grateful to our valued partners who helped make it possible,” says Dale Gillmore, founder and board chairman of Make An Impact Foundation. “This playground will provide a much-needed outdoor space for children to play and connect with each other.”

David Titmus, Public Relations and Communications Manager at Verbit, says: “We’re happy to be a part of this. It’s great for the community, it’s great for the kids, and it aligns with one of our company’s core values of ‘Doing Good’ for the world and making it an inclusive place for everyone.”

A ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony was held Oct. 26.
