Prime Video’s ‘Defensive Alerts’ Feature Debuts on Primary Thursday Night Football Feed
The AI-driven feature has been a fixture on the 'Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats' feed all year
Story Highlights
Defensive Alerts, the AI-driven feature from Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats, made its debut on Amazon Prime’s primary Thursday Night Football feed last night for the New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns matchup. Defensive Alerts looks to put viewers in the quarterback’s shoes through tracking the movement of defensive players prior to the snap, and identifying “players of interest” that are likely to rush the quarterback in real-time with a red orb.

Defensive Alerts is an AI-driven feature that tracks the movements of defensive players prior to the snap, and identifies “players of interest” in real-time with a red orb that are likely to rush the quarterback. The feature was originally developed for TNF’s “Prime Vision with Next Gen Stats” alternate stream through a unique collaboration between TNF producers, engineers, and Prime Video’s computer vision machine learning team. Last night marks the first time that Defensive Alerts have been featured on TNF’s primary stream.
