Mediapro Colombia Produces the Superliga Betplay 2024

The Colombian Superliga, which brings together the champions of the opening and closing tournaments of the 2023 professional football league, Millonarios and Junior, was produced by Mediapro Colombia, a company with a long track record in producing sports events both nationally and internationally.

For the production of both matches, Mediapro Colombia assembled a technical team of over 70 staff, distributed across two venues, all of whom specialize in sports event production. The project team provided one-stop shopping services responsible for coordinating every detail, from logistics to the live broadcast, ensuring high-quality production for their client Win Sports.

The first leg was played on January 18th at the Metropolitano Stadium in Barranquilla, with the return leg taking place on January 24th at the El Campin Stadium in Bogotá.

VAR and cameras 
VAR technology played a key role in the production of this Superliga 2024, with HD broadcast camera setups capturing every moment of the Millonarios vs. Junior matches, providing unique angles and shots showcasing the quality of the games.

In addition, Video Assistant Referee (VAR) was available in these two finals which saw the first trophy winners of 2024. Since the introduction of VAR in Colombia, over 1,000 matches have been played with this technology being used, demonstrating the confidence of the Colombian Professional Football Division (Dimayor) in Mediapro Colombia.
