NHL Blast on Roblox Updates: Relive the 2024 NHL All-Star Game in NHL Blast on Roblox

The National Hockey League (NHL) has collaborated with The Gang, a developer studio specializing in creating bespoke immersive gaming experiences, and Beyond Sports to unveil a series of updates to NHL Blast – the NHL’s experience on Roblox – that enable fans to re-live the excitement from the 2024 NHL All-Star Weekend in Toronto and participate in a new, thrilling team challenge mode.

After digitally recreating all goals scored during the 2023 Stanley Cup Final in NHL Blast, the NHL has become the first professional sports league to render an entire 3D virtual game (click link to watch trailer) in Roblox with full replays of all three games from the 2024 NHL All-Star Game, which saw Team Matthews defeat Team McDavid in an exhilarating All-Star Final held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.

Users can skate around the NHL All-Star Players on the ice while the game is being replayed or watch from a variety of different angles. Within the NHL Blast environment, users will now be able to experience the full NHL games with friends, creating opportunities for social interactivity, community-building and camaraderie among fans. The NHL and The Gang partnered with Beyond Sports, to utilize NHL EDGE positional data (NHL Puck and Player tracking) to create the 3D virtualizations of NHL action.

Additionally, the NHL and The Gang have launched a new challenge mode within NHL Blast, offering a fresh and engaging way for users to demonstrate their collective NHL fandom. Users align with their favorite NHL Club and then work together with other users to earn points to defeat other NHL Blast on Roblox teams in weekly matchups. Fans can also earn points by completing daily trivia questions that test their knowledge of the NHL and its 32 teams. The new challenge mode will run throughout the remainder of the NHL season and culminate in the crowning of overall Team champions within NHL Blast.

These latest updates represent continued efforts of the NHL, The Gang, and Beyond Sports to enhance NHL Blast and foster a sense of community among NHL fans on Roblox. Previous updates included introducing a new mini game to simulate a 1v1 shootout, activating around NHL marquee events, such as NHL Global Series and NHL Winter Classic, and delivering real-time NHL stats and standings.

NHL Blast is free to play on Roblox via most devices, including game consoles, PCs, mobile, and tablets.
