Ultimate Madden Bowl Champion Becomes First-Ever Madden NFL Esports Competitor to Reach USD $1 Million in Career Earnings

Madden NFL 24 Championship Series (MCS) action culminated this past weekend with the Ultimate Madden Bowl Presented by Lexus on Friday, February 9. Live from the House of Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada, Henry Leverette edged out Wesley Gittens to secure the USD USD $250,000 grand prize – becoming the first MCS competitor to reach USD $1 million in total career earnings.

“It’s everything,” says Henry Leverette on stage after winning the Ultimate Madden Bowl. “This [ring] is what everyone is working toward, and the fact that it’s on my finger… I feel like a millionaire.”

Henry’s road to victory at the Ultimate Madden Bowl saw him rise above thousands of MCS 24 competitors, including rival Wesley in Las Vegas during the Finals – a rematch of the 2022 Ultimate Madden Bowl. Henry’s 34-25 win over Wesley marks his third Ultimate Madden Bowl title, cementing his legacy in MCS history with over 100 career wins under the age of 21 and earning him the first-ever Championship ring crafted by Super Bowl ring designer Jostens. This year’s MCS finale was part of EA SPORTS Presents The Madden Bowl, which brought together the best of sports, culture, music, and entertainment.

“Bringing the Ultimate Madden Bowl back to the Super Bowl city in Vegas to crown our Madden champion alongside the NFL’s biggest moment was incredibly important to us,” says Andrew Echanique, American Esports Commissioner, Electronic Arts. “This year’s competition saw record-breaking viewership, not only showcasing the immense growth of the MCS, but also the unique platform it offers the next generation of football fans to experience and celebrate their love of the sport. Thank you to our MCS team, our competitors, and our fans for their continued support. And congratulations to Henry on becoming our MCS 24 champion and first-ever Madden Millionaire.”

The Ultimate Madden Bowl concludes an impressive season for the MCS, which saw more than double the amount of registrations from MCS 23. In addition to hundreds of fans spectating live from Las Vegas, the grand finale reached more than 99,000 peak viewers across official channels and co-streams – a 130 percent increase compared to last year’s Ultimate Madden Bowl.
