FloSports Promotes Jayar Donlan to Chief Operating Officer

FloSports has promoted Chief Content Officer Jayar Donlan to the role of Chief Operating Officer. The move follows a year of historic performance for the company across its content channels in 2023. In the new role, Donlan will oversee key stages of the FloSports business from deal creation to implementation across content, including critical oversight of its streaming operations. The announcement was made by FloSports CEO Mark Floreani.

“Jayar is a dynamic leader who has been instrumental in guiding FloSports to its best content performance in history, but that was just the start,” says Floreani.  “Jayar will provide the oversight and insights needed to elevate our offerings to partners and audiences across the globe.”

In the expanded role, Donlan will oversee FloSports Programming, Rights, Content, Production and Streaming Operations teams. He will now also have direct oversight of General Managers for major sport categories including Motorsports, Hockey, Wrestling, and Track & Field.  The structure will enhance alignment across FloSports core business operations, while providing a better ability to scale for an environment that increasingly shifts toward a streaming model for live sports.

Donlan adds, “There is no doubt that we’re at an inflection point in the industry, where audiences are consuming more sports content online and through streaming. We were built to meet this moment and I couldn’t be more excited to help guide FloSports toward a bright future.”

FloSports delivered its most streamed year ever in 2023 with nearly 2 billion live event minutes streamed across 24,000 events and more than 1.5 billion cross-platform video views. The company also produced more than 7,000 hours of original premium content to provide fansnew perspectives and deeper connections to the sports and players supported on the platform.

Donlan came to FloSports in January of 2023 after serving as EVP of Advanced Media at WWE, where he oversaw its subscription video-on-demand service while achieving record revenues for the company’s digital and social businesses.
