Jakub Wisniewski, Sports Broadcasting Industry Veteran, Dies at Age 36

Jakub Wisniewski – a longtime sports sports-broadcasting professional who worked for YES Network, SNY, MSG Networks, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football and many other networks – passed away on March 23, 2024. He was 36 years old. 

Born in Ostrów Mazowiecka, Poland, he came to the US in 1992 and lived in Clifton and Hoboken, NJ before moving to Wayne, NJ in 2021.

Wisniewski worked his dream job in sports broadcasting for every major team and sporting event. He traveled all over the world doing what he loved. Born with Cystic Fibrosis, he overcame many obstacles in his life, and never let the disease define him. In June 2011, Jakub had a double lung transplant and was able to live his life without boundaries. 

Wisniewski is survived by his wife Julia (Pinzler) Wisniewski; parents Daunta (Gieraltowska) Wisniewska of Clifton, and the late Slawomir Wisniewski who passed away in 2010; and in laws Marian Pinzler of East Meadow, NY, and the late Harold Pinzler.
