NAB 2024: NAB Show Honors Excellence in Sustainability Awards Winners
NAB Show has celebrated sustainability champions in six categories during its annual Excellence in Sustainability Awards ceremony. Judged by an independent panel of experts, award winners were recognized as individuals, companies and products/services for outstanding innovations in media technology that promote sustainability and foster economic and social development. Amazon Web Services (AWS) supported the awards ceremony.

NAB Show and AWS selected The Sustainable Entertainment Society as the recipient of proceeds from the Excellence in Sustainability Awards Program. Melanie Windle, executive director of The Sustainable Entertainment Society, accepted the donation.

The awards ceremony was preceded by a panel discussion Exploring HBO’s True Detective Night Country: A Discussion on Sustainability in Modern Production. The insightful discussion explored the intersection of the acclaimed television series HBO’s True Detective Night Country and modern principles of sustainability in production. Executive Producer Mari Jo Winkler-Ioffreda shared the show’s approach to sustainability.
