Nebraska's ESU 13 Receives $500,000 Distance Learning Grant


Southwest Iowa News reports that video technology will soon link all schools in western Nebraska, thanks to a USDA grant.

ESU (Educational Service Units) 13 learned of the $500,000 grant Thursday. B.J. Peters, distance learning coordinator, said the funds will be used to finish connecting and adding new video technology to all 21 school districts in the Panhandle. The money will provide new systems for the districts that will allow them to connect with other school districts around the world.
