The sports production community will descend on NAB 2016 bracing to be inundated with discussions concerning the future of sports production and, in particular, UHD. One of the aspects of UHD that is currently subject to debate is resolution. What are the pluses and minuses of producing a UHD program in 4K instead of 1080p? If most viewing is done on a UHD set that measures less than 65 inches can viewers even tell the difference between 4K and 1080p material? Experts discuss some of their experience with producing content in 1080p vs. 4K.
Discussion Leaders: Ken Aagaard, CBS Sports, EVP, Engineering, Operations and Production Services; Peter Angell, Lagardère Sports, SVP Media Operations; Brian Clark, NEP Visions, Commercial and Technical Projects Director; Michael Davies, Fox Sports, SVP Technical and Field Operations; Steve Hellmuth, NBA, EVP Operations and Technology; Michael Johnson, Dome Productions, Director of Engineering; Tom Sahara, Turner Sports, VP of Operations and Technology ; David Shield, IMG Media, SVP Global Director of Engineering & Technology

EVS looks at real-world, high-profile sports broadcast and stadium applications and live interactive experiences and shows how to use every view of the action to do things like allow officials to make better decisions more quickly, link content to create greater revenue opportunities and more.

4:40-5:15: Future of Sports Production: Bringing it All Together
