ATEME Receives Frost & Sullivan Award for Encoder & Transcoder Leadership
ATEME has received the Frost & Sullivan Award for Global Video Encoder & Transcoder Product Leadership.
“We are honored to receive the Frost & Sullivan Award, recognizing our product excellence and leadership,” says ATEME CEO Michel Artieres. “ATEME was the first manufacturer in the industry to offer a 4:2:2 10-bit encoder and decoder for contribution, the first to release a software-based live transcoding solution for distribution, and recently the first to offer Ultra HD with High Dynamic Range (HDR) support.”
The award is based on findings from Frost & Sullivan’s comprehensive research coverage of the video encoding and transcoding industry. “ATEME remains true to its legacy of implementing tomorrow’s technology today, and allows every content company—broadcaster, pay TV operator or content creator—to efficiently deliver beautiful, compelling content,” says Avni Rambhia, principal analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “While many vendors are choosing to combat today’s crowded, fragmented marketplaces with commoditized or SaaS offerings, ATEME is carving out growing opportunities on the strength of engineering excellence and best-in-class product offerings. This is driving a high level of customer loyalty and continued increasing trust in ATEME’s brand,” she adds.
ATEME’s award-winning product line-up includes:
- The TITAN Live, a high video quality, high-density software compression solution designed for cable, DTH, and OTT. TITAN Live is a true virtualized software-based solution, running on any OS – Linux, Windows and Virtual Machine.
- The TITAN File, a multi-codec/format video transcoding software for mezzanine, STB and ABR VOD, post-production, playout and archive applications.
- Kyrion encoder-decoders that were designed for contribution over satellite and IP networks, with added value features such as ultra-fast-boot ABR and integrated Automatic Repeat reQuest (ARQ).
