Nextologies Supplies Broadcasters, Networks With Dependable Transmission Services

The Sports Video Group is happy to introduce Nextologies as a new corporate sponsor. The company has the world’s largest broadcast video delivery network specializing in broadcast-grade video connectivity for broadcasters and content owners across the globe. Operating out of multiple teleports and data centers, Nextologies is the only solutions provider that has instant access to over 55,000 linear TV channels downlinked from 75+ globally-placed satellites.

“SVG does a terrific job with their in-person and virtual events to connect leagues, networks, and decision makers in the sports industry with the best technology partners,” says Sasha Zivanovic, CEO, Nextologies. “The editorial staff spend a lot of time and energy writing stories and creating sessions that invoke meaningful conversations and, in many cases, long-term partnerships.”

In addition, Nextologies is a leader in signal acquisition and delivery – providing fiber, IP and custom end-to-end solutions for IPTV and OTT platforms and video-centric applications across all platforms. Notable clients include established broadcasters, enterprise, and emerging companies.

Recently, the company is working alongside PSSI for productions of Top Rank Boxing from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. PSSI enlisted Nextologies to provide equipment to deliver the primary pathways via IP transport. Despite the obstacles created by COVID-19, and in order to facilitate a seamless broadcast, PSSI and Nextologies staff are providing both on-site engineering services and off-site monitoring and management.

When the UFC returned with fights deriving from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi, equipment from Nextologies was present to get the job done. For additional transmission redundancy, an ASI signal was established via IP contribution between the Fight Island and the PSSI International Teleport via Nextologies’ Global IP network.

At the beginning of the pandemic, the company was tapped by MAV TV for efforts in the Ricmotech Road to Indy. To keep everyone safe and in continued self-isolation during this COVID-19 pandemic, Nextologies was asked to quickly engineer a customized online solution that provided Producers the ability to produce the live racing e-series remotely from home using their computers. Using the technology Nextologies provided, producers were able to control switching and insert commercials during the live feed over the internet while broadcasting on MAV TV Canada.

“The breaking news around remote sports production is especially interesting for Nextologies,” concludes Zivanovic. “The delivery, production and technology of sports is evolving constantly, and we are very excited to be a part of an organization that embraces this.”
